Great ideas in the comments section for a future photo series…We’ll have to take some action on this end to make those comments a reality. As you can see, throughout this photo series I’m wearing my Wasp Creations corset. This particular corset, which is the short hip model, is now several years old.

Now we’re starting to get to the interesting parts!

These photos are coming out in a trickle, I know. I had fun taking them and hope you have fun viewing them.
The weather has been gorgeous lately here, a perfect mix of sunshine, blue skies, gentle breeze, and perfect temperatures (74F/23C). This is not just perfect corset weather, it’s perfect everything weather.

I was pretty tightly corsetted the other day when I went out to a restaurant with a group. I’m pretty sure that a table of 35 to 40 year old women, also having dinner, suspected that something was going on underneath my clothes. I was wearing something not too different from these photos – a long-sleeved shirt underneath a sweater. In general, it’s pretty hard to tell that I’m wearing a corset underneath this layering of materials. To a knowledgeable eye I’m sure it’s clear that my posture is upright and rigid and that my gait is a little “off.” But, most people probably just assume that I stand tall or maybe that I’m wearing a backbrace. Throughout most regular types of activities, it’s not evident that there is a corset on underneath.
If I bend down to pick something up, however, it can be really, really clear that something out-of-the-ordinary is on underneath my shirt and sweater (or vest). Especially if I’m wearing looser-fitting clothing, the shirt and/or sweater will hang down when I bend over and follow the contours of my torso. When it does, anyone looking sees a sharp contour and dramatic cut-in at my waist. This is exactly what happened when at dinner. I bent over to pick up a napkin that had fallen to the ground and, I’m almost positive, the table of women caught a look at a cut-in waist. Throughout the night, after I picked up the fallen napkin, I saw the group waiting and watching for confirmation or further evidence (which they never received…). Hopefully I spiced up their evening a little!
Philip — who has been featured on this blog in the past here and here — sent some additional photos of himself both wearing his corset and with the corset removed.
Philip writes:
It’s not often you have pictures of corset-wearers without their corsets [actually, I can't remember any at all] so I thought I’d send these for your interest and for the blog.
After 24 hours of tightlacing to a waist of 24 inches, you can see the marks on my skin left by the bones. Also, the general palour of my skin under the corset due to the constant pressure and immobility, I suppose. It wears off after about 30 mins.
The reduced waist lasts longer – maybe for a couple of hours – until it gradually swells out to its normal 34 inches again.

I believe the corset above is from C& S Constructions.
This looks interesting — hope she keeps it up!
