Just doing the chores

Far from a tightlaced male corset, but I guess this still qualifies.

Red Hobble Corset by Contour Corsets

You have likely seen some of this material already on the wonderful Staylace site. And, even though this is a female corset, I thought those who haven’t seen it on Staylace might still be interested simply because of how beautiful the corset is (and apparently this is just the fitting version!).

Imelda, an accomplished tightlacer, has posted pictures and a video of herself on her blog wearing a long, knee-length corset made by Fran of Contour Corsets. Fran also has a corset line specifically designed and devoted to men, called The Dandy Corset Company. And, for those interested in the control side of corsetry, there’s always the wonderful Laced and Locked.

Here’s a video of a man wearing his new knee-length discipline corset from Wasp Creations. Looks like a really well-made corset. Note that this YouTube user has a few other videos of himself wearing corsets by Amy at Wasp Creations.

Male (Neck) Corset

Species highlighted a few pictures of a neck corset / collar. I’ve never worn one of these, but have been pretty intrigued by them – especially the high collars that wrap around the lower part of the face.

This is a bit off-topic. Nonetheless, here are a few images from the Season 6 artwork for the television show Nip / Tuck.

I think these images are fantastic. There’s something about the bizarre integration of corsetry / lacing with a raw, human body that is delicious. One reason, certainly, that I like corsetry is that it molds, shapes, and alters the human figure; in short, I like the body modification and control pieces of corsetry. These images clearly play on that, but do so in a way that avoids many of the cliches that are all-too-often attached to BDSM when shown in pop media.

I saw the show a few times during it’s first season, but then pretty much stopped watching TV altogether for several years. Looking just at lists of episodes, it’s clear that the show partially tries to create its edge by tapping into alternative sexual lifestyles. For example, in one episode the characters attend a swingers party. In another episode a pro domme is featured topping a guy.
