Annalai’s Three Day Course for Waist Training
I’ve long been an admirer of Annalai and her terrific waist training over the years. Her photos are always a joy and I am fascinated by the types of corsets that she wears. The corsets look very stiff/rigid, create an unbelievable conical torso shape, and have no front fastening! Additionally, in some instances they are paired with shoulder straps, neck corsets, and more.
In one of the installments of Albert’s Avenue on the Staylace site, Annalai describes a three day waist training program in which the wearer does not remove the corset for the entire three day stretch. Here is a short excerpt from the description (scroll about 2/3 down on this page to see the full description).
Start with taking a shower and put on a clean liner, and remember: You are NOT going to remove your corset for the next three days! Put on the corset and lace it to a comfortable waist size that you usually have during daytime. After some hours, you pull the laces a bit tighter and you repeat that some hours later, and once more, when possible…And after three days? Well, you keep the corset comfortably tight at your new ‘daytime size’, and feel proud! And maybe you start another three-day training period soon!
You can learn more about Annalai and her tightlacing at Albert’s Avenue on Staylace. There’s also more about Annalai available at Retroxotique.
My longest continuous stretch of lacing to date has been 30 or so hours. I think going a full 72 hours without taking off the corset would be delightful, though I wonder about the feeling at the end of the 3 days when the corset comes off. Maybe I’ll try it sometime in the very near future. What’s the longest you’ve ever worn a corset? How was it?

I’m like you in that I’ve gone about 30 hours or so, usually taking it off only because I have to go somewhere, or take a shower, etc. I love wearing a corset for long periods of time though – especially after sleeping in it. I wake up and it feels so naturally adjusted to my body, and then I can pull the laces in even further… by the time I’ve worn it for 24 hours, it’s as if the corset is just a natural part of my body, and I forget I have it on. When I do feel it, it’s because of the wonderful ‘hugging’ sensation and the sense of accomplishment at being laced so small. It definitely gives me some insight into the time in history when men and women wore corsets for the majority of their lives without ‘suffering’ as many historians seem to believe they did. I bet the majority of people were so used to their corsets (whether they ‘loved’ wearing them or not) that they felt uncomfortable WITHOUT them.
Not sure if it is ok if a female do write here but as I am mentioned I wanted to share the longest time I have stayed laced.
The longest time I have spent in my corset is 8 DAYS about a year ago. I did not have access to a shower/bath or mirrors or privacy during this time. I did wash my hair once pouring the water over my head bent forward and the parts of my body not covered by my corset with a wash cloth the old fashioned way a couple of times during this time but I never removed my corset. After 3 days not beeing able to shower the skin starts to itch under the corset and the liner gets stuck to the skin and can create sore spots and a burning feeling. After this 8 days it was heaven to remove the corset for a shower but I kept the liner on and went straight to the shower and very carefully removed the liner under the water as it was stucked to my skin at some places. I did have some sore spots and a bit red skin but for the rest no problems.
During this time I did loose the laces a bit as I normally do for the night and tighten them in the morning before breakfast.
For me staying laced 3 days in a row is common and I do not have any problems if it is not very warm. The only thing is when I do remove my corset I must take a shower right away as the skin is itching.

Of course it’s ok for a female to post a comment — especially when that female is the focus of the post!
That’s very interesting to hear what happens after wearing a corset for so long in a continuous stretch. I’m curious — when you wear it for so long, is it tightly laced for most of the time? And, do you prefer to wear the corset for a continuous stretch of a few days? Is it more than just the practicality of not having to remove it?
Sorry for not replaying sooner.
Well yes my corset is always more or less tightly laced. I do loose the laces some 10 minutes before bedtime and I lace my corset tighter again in the morning before breakfast. I only keep my corset more loosely laced if I am sick for example and it is very seldom.
Every time I remove my corset for a shower my waist starts to expand back and it takes me hours before I have achieved the same waist size I had feeling absolutely comfortable. For me this is a slow process if I want to feel comfortable and be able to stay tightly laced the whole day or longer without problems. I do not loose my corset before or after a meal either it is no need for except very seldom.
So the main reason for why I prefer to stay laced for 2 days or longer in the same corset.I did this already in my wasp creation corsets with a front closure so it does not really has so much to do with me not having a front closure it has more to do with comfort.
I do not agree with the advices to change to another bigger/looser corset for the night as every time you unlace it takes time to get used to the corset again.

It’s such an interesting process — clearly a more “slow-and-steady” approach is necessary to practice tightlacing in the long-term.
If you are dedicated enough to wear tight corset and your lifestyle can support it, I think there is no problem wearing a corset continuously for days. The only downside is your muscles will become weaker, but as I say, if you are dedicated enough to that kind of lifestyle, why not? The only thing needs an attention is your skin. As long as your skin is not too dry, that’s OK.
About wearing corset for sleeping, that is OK too. If your body has adapted to the non-stop compression in the day time, compression during nigh sleep even will give better result to your training. If you lay down, your muscles are relaxed, no bending like when you are sitting down. According to me (again if you are serious), do not loosen the laces before nigh sleep, but tighten it a bit though! Believe me, once you get used to it, you will be easily lacing smaller in the day time!
