and a little bit of digging brings up a shop in New York selling corsets. I thought the last shop there closed several years ago. Here's the link http://www.purplepassion.com/ (selling lovesick corsets of course)

I agree -- do you know anyone who owns any of her corsets? I'm just blown away by the style of these corsets.

I also, incidentally, really like the style of her website. It fits the work really, really well.

I just LOVE Andrea's work, first time I saw her job was about 4 years ago, I think the style of her corsets are just amazing, and I've being absolutely in love with this male corset!

Interesting experiences -- thanks very much for sharing. It's helpful to hear about the daily wear experiences of some of these less traditional patterns.

I agree that Dark Garden is doing some interesting things regarding male corsetry. I liked, for instance, the look of their "Beau Brummel" double-breasted corset vest, even though I never plan to wear corsets on the outside in full view. So I asked them to make me a single-breasted corset vest that I could wear over my clothes, in lieu of a regular vest, with a suit coat. It came; it fit beautifully, and I was impressed with its comfort, good looks, and its quality of workmanship. Three interesting discoveries, however: 1) because my corset vest has bones, front and back, that extend right up into the shoulders, it tends to "hunch up" unattractively at the neck and shoulders when I sit down, 2) because it's designed more like a corset than a true vest at the bottom, I can't get my hands into my pants pockets--very inconvenient for a man, and 3) if I try to wear my corset vest just as a corset, UNDER my clothes, it's much too loose. No garment can double as a corset and as a vest. I think it would be more practical for a man to wear an overbust corset UNDER his clothes, and then have a tailor-made, close-fitting, buttoned vest to wear OVER his clothes to take care of those unsightly corset-induced bulges of flesh! Ah well, it's only MONEY!

well, I'm sure that they all had a lot of fun. Too bad that the corset wasn't closer to the correct size. I'm always amazed at what people put on you tube video. LOL

Your site has had some wonderful updates lately, Marcelo. And, it was great to see you leading the charge at a fashion show. It's amazing to see how your work has taken off. I really love your section on "soft" corsets -- seems like those would be great for the hot summertime!
